We're finishing up a great visit to Silver Spring and Chevy Chase, Maryland, and Bethany Beach, Delaware. We're going to post a lot of pictures soon, and some comments about what we did, where we went, and who we saw. Dino Loves Cahal!

Once a week Dino, the famous dinosaur picks one fan to give a ride to. This week he chose Cahal! We hope he feels better! Watch Dino's movies everyday! Every hour! All the time!

Pacific Science Center

Here are some pictures from our recent trip to the Pacific Science Center near the Space Needle . We saw an exhibit called "Lucy's Legacy: The Hidden Treasures from Ethiopia" Here saw lots of interesting artifacts from Ethiopia, and lots of skulls and bones. We couldn't take any pictures, so here's a link to the website about the exhibit: http://www.pacsci.org/LUCY/ After we went through th exhibit, we saw and IMAX movie about traveling the Blue Nile. Auden says: "It was really good." Auden's favorite part was that it showed a lot of Ethiopia. It also showed how you get through the Nile, build up your confidence, and get to the end of the Nile. After the movie, we went into the main part of the Pacific Science Center where we compared ourselves to other visitors by typing our traits (eye color, hair color, whether we had attached earlobes or not, stuff like that), checked out the dinosaurs (which led Auden to make his "Dino" movie - which his dad said was Dino-mite!), looked at naked mole rats, checked out a GIANT jack-o'-lantern and then got some pizza at the Whole Foods down the block from the Science Center (the picture of us in front of the big girl statue is from there).

This week we've gone swimming a lot at the pool, played with friends, and done arts and crafts. We're also getting the house ready for Grandma Patty, Pop-Pop, Aunt Katie, Uncle Dan, and our cousin Grady who are coming to visit on November 19. We also thought about our little cousin Cahal and hope he's feeling better after having a bad tummy ache last week. We're also missing Max and Aidan (our cousins in Mt. Airy) a lot. We hope they like the dinosaur video. We've also enjoyed the changing colors. We've attached a picture of a Japanese Maple that is in front of our house.

Happy Halloween! Auden and I are getting ready for trick-or-treating. Auden is the ghost of Christmas past. I am a detective. What were you for Halloween?

Auden is a mad scientist. He loves science. Today he studied fake blood.
He made it out of color tablets, water, and cooking oil. He wrote: Smells: bad Looks: red Feels: Wet. Then he drew the blood. He poured the blood into a cup. Then he drew the blood again. What a great thing to do on a rainy day!

What's "a blogger?"

I'm writing from Grandma Patty and Pop-Pop's kitchen table in Silver Spring, MD. Sophie, my parents, and I are here to see everybody after moving to Seattle (Mercer Island) last November and to celebrate my Uncle Aaron and Aunt Natalia's wedding.

It's been a really fun trip! We've been really busy seeing friends, eating lots of cake and ice cream, and playing. Saturday night we saw Aunt Naomi at Nana and Grandpa Ken's house for a Seder. Sunday we had a big brunch at Grandma Patty and Pop-Pop's house; my Maryland cousins Max, Aidan, and Grady were there with Uncle Ecto, Aunt Mysi, Aunt Katie, and Uncle Dan. We missed having my cousin Cahal and his parents, Uncle TImmy and Aunt Rachel there, but Uncle Timmy has been studying and working really hard in law school. I'm really proud of Uncle Timmy and can't wait to see him when he comes to visit us in Seattle.

We've also seen a lot of my Maryland friends, especially the gang from Williams Lane. That has been a lot of fun. I even saw Pee-Wee Herman's Big Adventure. The funniest thing from that movie is the guy who cut the tag off the mattress - that guy is so funny. When we saw that we all went crazy!

So far the biggest thing has been our trip to New York City. We took the train from Washington, DC, to NYC. Pop-Pop and I went to Build-A-Bear (the biggest in the world!) and Grandma Patty and Sophie went to American Girl Place on Fifth Avenue. After that we met Uncle Aaron and went to his apartment. He's moving from the 15th floor to the 30th floor where he and Aunt Natalia will have a view of the Hudson River. I can't wait to go back and see that view.

This post is getting really long, but I wanted to have something to post for my first entry. I'll write more later, and post some pictures if my dad can figure it out.
